A teaspoon of honey

A handful of frozen mixed berries

Half a banana

2 scoops of whey protein (sugar-free vanilla works great)

A teaspoon of organic almond butter

A handful of crushed ice

Method:

Carefully take your mixed berries, and with a set of tweezers, carefully proceed to remove the seeds until……No don’t really, we’re kidding!

What you need to know about protein shake recipes for weight loss:

To lose weight you need to be aware of new strategies and formulas to help you get ahead in your battle against the flab. Some people turn to expensive diet pills and stupid sounding z-list celebrity endorsed diets to help them shed the pounds, but if they’re looking to solely lose weight, then drill-doggy and our evolutionary diet, supplemented with evolutionary diet friendly protein shakes, could be exactly what they’re looking for.

So, what are protein shakes?

As we said, we’ll be looking at a few protein shake recipes for weight loss in just a little bit, but firstly let’s look at what protein shakes are, and how they can help you to lose weight. Protein is essential for the growth and repair of muscle tissue. The amino acids contained in protein have been described as the building blocks for muscle. The more lean muscle you pack on your frame, the more your metabolism will increase as a result. Many people seem to think that if they drink protein shakes, they’ll suddenly sprout huge muscles and will wake up the next morning looking like the incredible hulk.

If only it were really that easy to build muscle. No, the truth is that in order to get to anywhere near that size, you need to be eating and drinking a lot of protein and calories, lifting a lot of heavy weights, oh and taking copious amounts of steroids and growth hormone in the process. Some people are even silly enough to believe that protein shakes contain steroids themselves. If somebody ever tries to tell you that nonsense, kindly inform them that they’re a complete and utter misinformed moron, and would they please be so kind as to stop talking complete gibberish. The truth is that protein shakes are sourced from all natural protein sources, manufactured in a safe and effective manner, and taste pretty darn good too.

Why should I be drinking them?

As we said previously, protein helps your body to build lean muscle, and also supplies essential energy in the form of calories. Both of these help to speed up your metabolism, allowing your body to burn more calories, provide more energy, thus helping you to feel more energized, and lose weight in the process. Cavemen based their diets on lean protein, resulting in them having extremely lean and aesthetically pleasing physiques.

Not only that, but protein shakes are also packed full of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and other natural goodness which helps make your body much healthier. They also contain amino acids which help the body to recover quicker after exercising. All of these processes require the body to burn calories in order to recover quicker, meaning that again, you’re losing weight whilst recovering. As they’re full of protein, they’re great for helping to build and maintain lean muscle tissue, and if you choose a slow release protein before bed, such as soy or casein. Your body gets a steady supply of nutrients and protein, helping to prevent it from going into a catabolic (muscle eating) state.

Reasons to be wary of protein shakes

Like we said, cavemen didn’t have whey protein powder, and if you base your entire diet on protein shakes, you won’t get very far. You need to know that protein shakes are only a supplement, should really only be mixed with water, and should not be combined with any artificial ingredients, or anything that isn’t evolutionary diet friendly.
