A week day meal full of hassles! We are hardly left with any spare time to plan our meal and look for healthy ingredients to make the lunch nutritious. No wonder more than often, we give into temptation and end up opting from junk food from the nearest fast food joint. As a result, instead of undergoing weight loss we end up blowing up our waistline!

If you are one of those people, who have almost given up hope in finding innovative and simple weight loss recipes, then take a look at the teriyaki chicken recipe here. It will treat your taste buds with the flavors of Japan without adding unwanted fat in your body and gets ready in less than 20 minutes.

Though the juicy stir-fried chicken taste wonderful, it’s the pineapple chunks which will bring a smile on your face with their tangy-sweet flavors. You can improvise on the dish and throw in more veggies to boost the nutrition quotient of the dish. Though the Japanese would have loved to eat it with steamed rice, your nutrition concept won’t allow you to do so. So stick to cauliflower rice or enjoy it with a bowl of fresh salad as well.

  • 1 cup pineapple, diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced

  • Sprinkle a dash each of seasonings all over the chicken strips and toss to season.
  • Drizzle coconut oil in a large skillet and heat it over moderately high heat until it shimmers.
  • Throw in the chopped onion as well as the seasoned chicken strips and sauté them for 5 minutes, while stirring from time to time.
