Healthy snacking pose as a serious issue among its takers as chips, candies, granola bars and packaged snacks become a strict no-no. Thus, making snacks at your home could be the best way to keep your yummy happy without cheating on your nutrition concept. Take a cue from this recipe of healthy Trail Mix from Drilldoggy’s kitchen. It calls for a handful of dried fruits, healthy seeds and nuts to create one of the simplest and yummiest snacks possible.

Tossing up a trail mix in your kitchen gives you a chance to control the ingredients and maintain a balance of sweet and salty flavors. Therefore, while the store-brought trail mix is laden with excess sugar, this home-made version is free of all the bad stuffs and is super-healthy!

Making the trail mix is child’s play. All you need is weigh down the ingredients and toss them up into a crunchy-munchy trail mix! The trail mix gets its share of sweetness from the dried nuts. However, you can feel free to pep it up with a splash of honey for more flavors or bake it in a hot oven for crunchier nuts. Stuff in a few mouthful before rushing to your daily chores or it to camping or hiking and never stay hungry again!
