We all know that salad is an healthy option, especially if you are on a diet. But when it comes to eating them, people often tend to restrict it to lunch or dinner. Some go one step further and avoid salads completely owing to their bland and boring flavors. Ask anyone what they would prefer to have for an evening snack, and most of them will reach out for chips or burgers; poor salad is always undesirable!

With nuts and spicy cinnamon for company the couple sure creates a magic with their natural sweetness. You can also swap them with other fruits to suit your preference and enjoy new flavors every day. And if you are already in love with them, double the amount of ingredients and save for the dessert too.

 

Ingredients:

Serves: 2

  • 1 apple, cored and diced
  • 1 orange, peeled and diced
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup walnuts or pecans, chopped

Method:

  • Dump the fruits into two serving bowls.
  • Throw in the nuts and sprinkle a dash of ground cinnamon on top.
  • Toss them together to mix well.
  • Serve and chomp away!
