Kale is known to be a good source of liver detoxifier and should be included in one’s daily diet. However, when eaten alone, kale doesn’t appeal much. So Drilldoggy suggests you to sauté it with few veggies and sausage chunks to add more flavors. Sausage can make anything taste better and the same can be said in case of this simple dish too!

  • One large bunch kale
  • 1 lb sausage
  • ½ red bell pepper, stemmed, deseeded and diced
  • 1 medium onion, peeled and diced


  • Peel off the casing from sausage and crumble the meat into a pan.
  • Sauté for several minutes, while stirring often, until they brown.
  • Stir in the chopped onion and continue to sauté for 5 minutes or until the onions soften.
  • Slice off the spine of kale and chop it up finely.
  • Toss them into the sautéed mixture and stir to mix well.
  • Cook for 5-10 minutes or until they soften yet retain their bright green tone.
  • Transfer them into a serving bowl and stir in the uncooked red pepper chunks until evenly distributed.
  • Serve and enjoy this tastier version of kale.
