Guaca-choke Dip

Sometimes you don’t need to sweat in your kitchen for making snacks. A small apple, few veggie slices or handful of kale chips are enough to tide you over between meals. With a yummy dip for company, these simple snacks can keep your taste buds and appetite satisfied all at once. While he has a bunch of dip recipes in store for you, but is ‘guaca-choke’ dip is a winner! Never heard of it? Its actually avocado and artichokes blended together to create magic. So if you like guacamole, you’ll surely fall in love with this version with artichokes in it.

When it comes to dips, guacamole has always topped the charts owing to its wonderful flavors, simplicity and last but not the least, its super versatility! That is why, when Drilldoggy teamed it up with artichokes, the outcome was too healthy and yummy to be true. A dash of spices tied the flavors together and pepped it up further. Serve it with any veggie or leftover meat and enjoy this amazing ‘out-of-the-box’ dip!


Serves: 4

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 can artichoke hearts, drained
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • One pinch red chile powder
  • One pinch ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp coconut milk


  • Dump all the ingredients into a food processor.
  • Pulse them for several minutes to blend them into a smooth puree; cut the timing short if you like a chunkier dip.
  • Scrape it out into a serving bowl.
  • Serve with your favorite dippers.
