Nowadays, most children are often found to be suffering from various kinds of ailments; blame most of them to obesity! As parents, it is important to ensure that the children lose weight by following a healthy diet plan. Why not introduce your kids to your new lifestyle? This diet plan ensures that your child gets their share of necessary nutrients and doesn’t add put on extra weight without disappointing his taste buds.

If you child loves to gorge on good old ants on log, then do not fret. You can actually make this delicious snack in a jiffy while sticking to the guidelines all at once. All you need to do is spread a large dollop of almond butter on celery sticks and top it up with some unsweetened raisins, cherries or cashews.

You can also pep it up further by sprinkling a dash of grated coconut and sugar powder on top. Making it is so simple, that even your kid can make one for himself every time he gets a snack attack! So turn snacking into an interesting kid’s activity and load them with healthy goodness all at once.


Serves: 2

  • 2 celery stalks
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 4 tbsp almond butter


  • Rinse the celery and blot dry with paper towels.
  • Slather one side of each celery stalk with a large dollop of almond butter.
  • Place the raisins along the stalk, spaced apart and lay them out onto a large platter.
  • Serve right away.
