Keeping a meat lover away from sausages is nothing less than a crime! Don’t commit this crime even if you are on a mission to lose weight. Instead opt for our nutrition concept which gives to a chance to eat anything and everything that you might desire just like a caveman.

Start your weight loss journey with breakfast sausage. These juicy meat sausages are yummy owing to a medley of pork, beef and bison meat which goes into making them. It’s like heaven on plate for any hardcore carnivore. A dash of aromatic herbs as well as spices boost its yum quotient further and turns these breakfast sausages worth every bite. You can also add a dash of vegetables to this dish to add a healthy crunch to the dish. However, if you prefer to keep it simple, cook them with chicken alone; it tastes yummy too!

In spite of its lip-smacking flavors, it will hardly make you spend half an hour in the kitchen. Thus it’s ideal for home-cooks who want to whip up something quick for breakfast without disappointing the taste buds. Once ready enjoy it with fresh boiled veggies or as a sandwich between a two weight loss bread slices.

Ingredients:

Serves: 8-9

  • 1 lb ground bison
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary
  • 2 tsp fresh sage
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Olive oil for cooking

Method:

  • Dump all the ingredients, except oil, in a mixing bowl and stir them all together to mix well.
  • Pinch out small portions of this meat mixture and mold them into 2’’ thick rounds.
  • Heat a griddle pan over moderately low heat and grease it with a lashing of olive oil.
  • Lay out the meat rounds onto the skillet and cook for 10-15 minutes, while flipping them over halfway through cooking.
  • Once the sausages are cooked through and turn brown, slide them onto serving plates and serve right away.
