Sausage and Kale Saute

Kale is known to be a good source of liver detoxifier and should be included in one’s daily diet. However, when eaten alone, kale doesn’t appeal much. Ingredients:

  • One large bunch kale
  • 1 lb sausage
  • ½ red bell pepper, stemmed, deseeded and diced
  • 1 medium onion, peeled and diced

Method:

  • Peel off the casing from sausage and crumble the meat into a pan.
  • Sauté for several minutes, while stirring often, until they brown.
  • Stir in the chopped onion and continue to sauté for 5 minutes or until the onions soften.
  • Slice off the spine of kale and chop it up finely.
  • Toss them into the sautéed mixture and stir to mix well.
  • Cook for 5-10 minutes or until they soften yet retain their bright green tone.
  • Transfer them into a serving bowl and stir in the uncooked red pepper chunks until evenly distributed.
  • Serve and enjoy this tastier version of kale.
